Ruth (Findley) Schafstall, 79 of Seymour passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Autumn Trace in Seymour.
Ruth was born July 1, 1941, to the late Curtis (Bill) and Doris E. Findley.
Ruth attended Rockford United Methodist Church and was a member of the United Methodist Women’s Group. She was a housewife and worked on the family farm until the death of her husband Max D. Schafstall. She retired from J. C. Penney’s in 2001 after 19 years. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life.
On May 7, 1960 at Rockford United Methodist Church she married Max D. Schafstall who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughters; Natalie (Steve)Mann, Leann(Jon) Schuerman, Lora (Brian) Hackman, son, Matt ( Tracey) Schafstall , her grandchildren; Leah Mann, Katie(Luke)Rust, Scott Schuerman, Taylor Schuerman. Jessica(Chandler)Lambring, Jenna(Mitchell)Scarlett, Max(Maggie)Schafstall, and Mason Schafstall, great grandchildren; Wyatt Mann, Hudson and Lane Lambring, and Ellie Schafstall. Three sisters; Jeanne(Don)Culp, Mary(Tom)Groce, Mary Lou(Terry) White, brothers-in-law; Rick (Alberta) Schafstall and John (Kathy) Schafstall, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a grandson, Jared Ross Mann.
Family ask that friends may call at Voss and Sons Funeral Service on Friday from 10 to 12 p.m. Private services will be held at Voss and Sons Funeral Service with Rev. Paul Huntsman officiating. Burial will follow at Acme Cemetery.
In accordance with CDC guidelines, masks are required before admittance to the funeral home as well as social distancing within the building. We kindly ask that there be no physical contact such as hugs or handshakes to protect staff and the family. Attendance is limited to 50 people at any given time.
