Nancy Engelking

Nancy Ann Engelking, 65, of Seymour, passed away on April 2, 2017 peacefully in her sleep.
The funeral service will be held at Voss and Sons Funeral Service on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 11 am with Reverend Keith Wingham officiating. Visitation will be held at Voss Chapel on Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm and on Thursday, after 10 am until time of service. Burial will follow the funeral at Riverview Cemetery.
Nancy was born in Columbus, Indiana on December 29, 1951.
Nancy was married to Steven Wayne Engelking on March 14, 1970; they were married 47 years.
Nancy worked as a devoted wife and mother for over 40 years. Nancy’s family was her love and joy. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, watching the news, weather, bird watching, movies, learning and spending time with her family. She was working on her degree in criminology. She was Legion of Hoosier Heroines. She was recognized The Adjutant General of Indiana for her heroic stature as a lady and by her support of the principles of military science. Her ability to love and her strength was beyond measure.
Nancy is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years, and her two children, Steven W Engelking II and Lisa A. Engelking; her 5 grandchildren Cory A. Burbrink, Brett M. Burbrink, Austin S. Engelking (Natalie Engelking), Montana S. Engelking and Mason R. Engelking; her 5 sisters, Connie (Mike) Manchester, Evelyn Sykes, April (Ray) Heltman, Judy (Dan) Jackson and Robyn Bailey; her nieces and nephews; and the rest of her relatives and friends.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, George and Bessie Bailey.
Memorial donations can be sent in her name to Trinity Lutheran High School, Seymour, IN in care of the Voss and Sons Funeral Services.
