I remember the times that my sister Julia and I were at your house on Mill Street playing in the back yard and in the sandbox with Janie, Tommy and Susie. Cheryl & family—it was 5 years ago that I met Tom at KSAA. I looked forward to seeing him each Thursday. We would talk about Your retirement from teaching (I’m a retired teacher), your Boston terriers (the loss of one and the stinky new puppy) & of course everything IU. I will miss his joyful demeanor. Hugs for comfort & prayers for strength.
Beth White left a message on June 16, 2020:
Cheryl and family. Prayers to you all in the passing of Tom. He was a great man. My father Charles Patrick worked for his uncle Shy. When I was a teenager, we went to Tom for a used car. For whatever reason, mom and dad took the car for a short test drive and left me at the dealership. While Tom and I talked while they were gone, I told him that my mom would try to get him to come down on the price. Something I'm sure he was prepared for. But I kind of got into a little trouble for being so honest with him. He of course got a chuckle out of it. I have been in contact with many people who have said Tom helped them, some said saved their life. He will be greatly missed. Beth Patrick White
