Mr. Robert W. Cupp, 96, of Seymour, passed away on Saturday January 16, 2021 at the Lutheran Community Home in Seymour, Indiana. Born in Mt. Carmel, IL on November 11, 1924, he was the son of Clyde and Lenore (Wood) Cupp.
On May 7, 1950, in North Vernon, IN he married Betty Lu Edith Helm who preceded him in death March 16, 2012.
Mr. Cupp was a member of Central Christian Church since 1952 where he served as Chairman of the Board and as Elder for several years. He served in the US Navy for 3 years from 1943 to 1946. He was employed by the Indiana State Police as a radio operator/technician from 1950 to 1972 when he retired. He then took employment with Cummins Engine Company as a security supervisor from 1972 until his retirement in 1983. Mr. Cupp was a member of Jackson Lodge 146 F & AM since September 1946, also serving as Past Master during the year of 2002. He was a member of the Scottish Rite, a member of American Legion # 89, and a past member of the Elks Lodge # 462.
He is survived by his children, Marcia Cupp, Julia Snider, Mark (Phyllis) Cupp, Cynthia (Roger) Follett, grandchildren, Kristen Robinson, Suzanne Wilson, Shannon Pratt, Kelsey Follett, Elizabeth Burgess, Matthew Cupp, Andrew Cupp, great grandchildren, Baylee Chandler, Carlee Robinson, Cory Robinson, Cody Wilson, Shelby Wilson, Leo Cupp, and Oliver Pratt. Great great grandchild Katchyr Logan Chandler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother, James Cupp.
