Marcia and family, so sorry for your loss. I did not know your dad, but he had to be a great person, because you are an awesome person and friend.

Bob was something else! There was only one Cuppie! So many many good memories. I feel so lucky and blessed to not only know Bob but to work for and play golf with Bob. I reported to Bob starting around 1976 and for several years with Cummins Security. He sure loved to play golf! One time while playing golf at the Elks Club, Bob got so excited about a shot he had made that he backed up into a pond! What a hoot he could be...even on accident! More recently, I was able to see Bob several times during our church men's meetings. Bob just kept on going on without complaint even when he struggled with his eye sight and falling down. Bob was a grand man and I know he is in a much better place. I'll keep the family in my prayers. Michael Stein

Dear Marsha and Julie, my sincerest condolences. Bob was such a ray of sunshine! Before COVID, I would always be greeted on Sunday mornings by Bob with a big smile, a story from the past and a complement. As years went by, he would have to get closer and closer to me to see for sure who I was, so often I would find myself speaking louder and louder until one day he said: "David, I can't see, but my hearing is just fine!!" Bob loved music. While as was serving as the director of music, he ALWAYS made it a point to seek me out and tell me how much he appreciated the music, especially the Chancel choir. I will miss your father, but count the many blessings of his life as my personal comfort, and look forward to that day again when we see one another in heaven. Blessings to you, David Stout

Our sympathies to the entire family for your loss. Bob was always fun to be around. We had him along with his entire church class to the house several times for parities and the infamous fish fries with Bob Vierling doing the cooking and Bob Cupp breading the fish in a paper sack. They had the process down to a science. He will be missed. Sincerely, Roger and Marie Beineke and Evelyn Wieneke

Bob was a treasure! He didn't mind that most of the church "Office Angels" were women, he would just come and help prepare the Sunday bulletin because he wanted to be helpful and do his part. Bob was a dear friend who always had a hug and a smile! He accepted me as part of the Cupp/Huddleston family. He had a heart as big as his sense of humor. He brought joy wherever he went. His visits to shut-ins... including my Mom.. when she moved here were precious. That harmonica must sound wonderful in heaven!
PAUL HUDDLESTON left a message on January 20, 2021:
Bob was a blessing to our church and our family. He comforted my dad after Mom passed and had lunch with Dad every Sunday. Dad would chef one week and Bob the next. Driving Bob to places was interesting. He was "blind" but he would tell you if you missed a turn or if you weren't going the best route to your destination. I loved it when Bob joined us on our little excursions. He was a great jokester, a great friend, and a great supporter of the church. Born on Veteran's Day, Bob was also a great patriot. The Huddleston boys will miss you, Bob.

I work with Bob at the Seymour post for a number of years when I had Post command. He was a legend for sure. My favorite story was when superintendent Konkle would stop in the post he always got a cup of coffee and put a lot of sugar in it. Well Cuppie filled the sugar bowl with salt. Konkle comes in gets his coffee and starts scooping in the sugar. Except it was salt. He takes a sip and the next words were, "d**n you Cupp. He didn't have to guess who did it. We had some fun in the day. Surely miss you Bob. Tom Goble

I am deeply saddened by Bob's passing. He was a devoted Christian, a true friend and an all around great guy. I will miss those times we dined and fellowshipped together on Wednesdays during WOW and on Fridays at Knights of Columbus. He was always so appreciative when anyone helped him. Bob was a kind, funny, mischievous and lovable man. His sight and hearing problems didn't keep him from enjoying life. The joy he exuded was contagious and he will be dearly missed.

Bob was one of the few Indiana State Police Dispatchers that would get away with telling the Superintendent Bob Konkle to “continue to patrol” after the Superintendent asked to swing by the State Police Post for gasoline. When I started at the Seymour Post in 1972, Bob Cupp already an Icon. He is greatly missed.

I only recently (over the past couple of years) started attending Central Christian Church, but had the privilege of sitting behind Mr. Cupp on several Sunday mornings. He was always so friendly and welcoming. . .didn't appear to meet a stranger. Such a sweet person.

When I first started teaching a Sunday School class, Bob and Betty were in that class. He was a true Christian and was kind to everyone. I will miss his harmonica playing but my first thought was that he was playing his harmonica in heaven and Jim was singing because that's the way Bob liked it. He was a great man and will be truly missed. My prayers are with the family.

Bob was a fun loving individual who will certainly be missed. I remember how he always added laughter to our days working at the old Seymour library, but my favorite memory is of Bob and his granddaughter Libby "cutting a rug" at her wedding reception. What a joy it was to witness such a moment! Praying the family finds comfort knowing Bob and Betty are together again.
