As James said, Mike was the beat boss i ever had and he treated his workers in his department like people. He allowed us so much freedom to make Corrections to problems so we would not have to fight them all the time. Mike was a very laid back person and down to earth. Thank you Mike sir!!!!

The Schroer's lived next door to us growing up. The day we were supposed to start Kindergarten, I said to my mother, "Is Mikey going?" She said go ask him. I did and he said, "No, I want to stay home and play another year." So I told my Mother I didn't want to go to kindergarten, I'd stay home and play with Mikey.

I was very very sorry to hear about Mike’s passing. I was fortunate to live next door to Mike’s family and shared many happy days with him. From building snow forts to fight off big brother Bernie, to playing baseball, and basketball, building model airplanes, etc. He and his family were a big part of my life and I will always be grateful for having them as neighbors. I remember the excitement that he and Bernie had when his dad, Alvin brought home a 1934 Ford for the boys, When Bernie went to college it became Mike’s and was a prominent part of the “scene” in Seymour. His mother, Selma always had cookies available to feed hungry young boys. What a great family to grow up around. Jerry

Pat and I have fond memories of many dinner parties, neighborhood functions, and Mike's beautiful smile shared at our Clubhouse 'Hand & Foot' weekly card games. We had many laughs and Mike always brought wonderful food creations to share. Rest in peace Mike. You will be missed but your beautiful friendly smile is forever.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I will forever remember our time together through high school and spending after school time with Mike at his dad and moms home. Playing horse and pig in the back yard. Mike let me win on occasion, but he was always ahead in our games. Mike holds the all time record for consecutive free throws at Seymour High School. It will most likely stand forever. Just like my memories of him and Julia and our friendships. Charlie Voss

Sympathies to the family. I remember mike from basketball. He would give me a ride home after basketball practice in the black 34 Ford sedan. He was a good guy.
