Mrs. Mary Louise Boknecht, 97, of Seymour, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018, at home with her family by her side. She was born in Jackson County on August 9, 1920 to the late Edward and Bertha (Burns) Boknecht.
Funeral services will be held at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Friday at 2 pm with Rev. Tom Judd officiating. Burial will follow at White’s Chapel.
Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Friday from 12 noon until time of service.
She was a member of White’s Chapel Church. She worked for over 30 years at G.C. Murphy’s Store in the dress department. She was a writer for the Brownstown Banner for many years, writing about local events. She enjoyed gardening, working in her flower gardens and in her yard. She had a great heart for all animals, especially dogs.
She is survived by her nephews, Milton (Diana) Boknecht and Michael Boknecht; as well as several great nephews and nieces.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Marvin Boknecht
