Mrs. Josephine Ruth, 84, of Seymour, passed away on May 11, 2019 at Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown. She was born in Lincoln County, Kentucky to the late Woodrow Mullins and Esther (Osborne) Mullins Kirts.
On April 4, 1952 she married Clarence Ruth, of Freetown, who preceded her in death on June 15, 1994. She worked at Gerwin Shoe Factory, Seymour Electronics and Cummins Engine Company. She attended Clearspring High School and was a member of the Kurtz Church of the Nazarene.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Esther Kirts and Woodrow Mullins, sisters Claudetta Mullins and Clara Roll, brothers Lyndon and Wally Mullins, nephews Glenn Roll and Tony Price. She is survived by her sisters, Amy (Robert) Price, Gail Wilson and Phyllis Barnard and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday May 15, 2019 at Voss & Sons Funeral Service, with viewing from 11am-1pm with service at 1pm officiated by Rev. Floyd Fisher. Burial will follow at Old Regular Baptist Church Cemetery, Freetown.
Memorials may be made to Kurtz Church of the Nazarene in care of Voss & Sons Funeral Service.
