Henrietta Prewitt

Henrietta J Prewitt passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021, in Avon, Indiana.

She was born in 1931 to the late William Hendricks Emily and Oakalear Emerson Emily in Seymour, Indiana.

On December 24, 1947, she married John Charles “Jack” Prewitt in Seymour. Henrietta was a waitress and in her spare time enjoyed teaching Sunday School, crafting floral arrangements, reading, cooking for large groups but most of all she loved her Savior and loved going to church.

She is survived by her children, Marsha Sparks, John (Sherry) Prewitt Jr., James (Melissa) Prewitt Sr., Terry (Julia Corwin) Prewitt Sr.; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Martha Kay Moss.

Henrietta is preceded in death by her beloved husband; daughters, Brenda Prewitt and Vivian Jones; her parents; brothers, Jackie Emily and William “Bud” Emily.

Private graveside services will be held at Riverview Cemetery

I loved Judy she was a great example as a Christian to me. Praying for comfort for all.

I remember Aunt Judy taking a picture of my grandparents with me accidentally in photo. I wouldn’t leave grandma, was scared to death of all the relatives I didn’t know. I lived to far to know any of my family. Still do. I seen Aunt Judy when she would come to visit in Florida.

When we were young Aunt Judy let us come and spend the night often, she made us feel so welcome, such wonderful memories! I know she is at peace now and walking beside Jesus, she had such a great faith, she's a roll model for all of us. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family, I know she will be missed by all.
