Franklin Leroy “Lee” Morgan, 76, of Seymour, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Seymour to the late Franklin Lee and Geneva (Ross) Morgan, although he was raised by his mother and grandparents after losing his father during WWII.
A memorial service will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service at Bethany Community Church on Saturday, March 21 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. John Moore officiating. Due to the ongoing national health emergency, the service will be limited to 45 people.
On December 28, 1963, Lee married Linda Kovener, she survives. He retired from Cummins Engine Co. in July 1993 after more than 30 years of service. Following retirement, he drove a water truck filling swimming pools and wells. Lee was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family and pets. He enjoyed the outdoors and bird watching and was also an avid gun collector.
Lee is survived by his wife of 56 years, Linda Morgan; children, Gina (Patrick) Schoenfelder, Kristy (Chad) Ord; grandchildren, Karlie (Caleb) Henderson, Jordan Schoenfelder, Elayna Ord, Addyson Ord; great-grandson, Jaxson Henderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Robert Lee Morgan.
Memorials may be written to Jackson County Humane Society, in care of Voss & Sons Funeral Service.
