I was one grade below Doug at Idaville but we ALL were Greenstreaks. We lived across the street from each other and played together in all sports basketball, baseball, and track. Doug was a great athlete and although he was a big guy he could outrun all of us. I have lots of memories but the one that stands out was at Halloween when he was a senior we dressed up in costumes and joined a group of younger trick or treaters. We were twice as big as they were and nobody guessed us but got a chuckle when we took off our masks. I wish we had met up before he passed. So happy he was a Christian since that is the most important think of all.

This man touched my life briefly while I delivered his food to him at Schneck. He was so kind and gracious when I talked to him and sang happy birthday to him. It was sad day when I found out he had passed. I will never forget how nice of a man he was.
