Mrs. Dorothy P. Hopper Kilgas Fleehearty, 88 of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, July 11th at home with her family by her side.
Dorothy was born in Bethleham, Indiana on July 4, 1932 the daughter of the late Wesford A. Hopper and Goldie Mae (Vest) Hopper.
Dorothy was a member of the Peter Switch Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed being a housewife and mother, camping, making porcelain dolls and their clothing and her dogs.
She is survived by her children: Connie S. (Steve) Mettert, Jenny (Don) Pridgen, and Robert Kilgas, sister: Janet Sutton, grandchildren: Steve (Tricia) Mettert, JR., Ritchie (Jennifer) Mettert, Eric (Jenni) Mettert, Jason Early, Misty Scheffel, and Amy Boling, great grandchildren: Clayton, Haden, Kherington, Rachel, Lane, Zane, Asher, Ali, and Shayla, 1 great great grandchild, several nieces and nephews, step sons Ron (Mary) Fleehearty, Ed (Cheryl) Fleehearty, and Bill (Amy) Fleehearty.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Robert L. Kilgas, and David Fleehearty, son: Alfred Kilgas, brothers: Guy Hopper, Russell Hopper, and Gene Hopper, sister: Bertha Horton.
Family and friends may visit at Voss and Sons Funeral Service on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 after 11:30 a.m. until time of service at 1:30 p.m. (Family and friends are required to wear mask and keep social distance for the protection of staff and family members.)
Funeral service will be at Voss and Sons Funeral Service on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., with Rev. Keith Ross officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
Memorials may be written for Peter Switch Church of The Nazarene, Alzheimer Research or Amedisys Hospice for the wonderful care provided for Mrs. Fleehearty.
