Mrs. Doris J. Tormoehlen, 80, of Seymour, passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Jennings County in 1938 to the late Chester and Grace (Moore) Maschino.
A Memorial Mass will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service at St. Ambrose Catholic Church on Saturday, January 5 at 10 am with Father Dan Staublin officiating assisted by Deacon Mike East. Burial will follow at St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery.
Family and friends may call at St. Ambrose Catholic Church on Saturday from 9 am until time of Mass.
She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Hayden High School. On November 6, 1957, she married Kenneth Tormoehlen; he survives. She was a co-owner of Summer Kitchen Craft & Garden. She was a homemaker that enjoyed caring for her family.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years; son, Kevin L. Tormoehlen; grandchildren, Derick Pendleton, Amber (Corey) Fugate, Lydia Piatt and Shelby Piatt; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, Alan Maschino, Alvin Maschino and Ernie Maschino; and sisters, Helen Elkins, LaVerne Taskey and Christine Fordice.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, H. Joe Maschino; sisters, Carolyn Ann Spicer and Marilyn Braley; and sisters-in-law, Pat Maschino and Doris Benter.
Memorials may be written to St. Ambrose Catholic School or Charity of Choice, in care of Voss & Sons Funeral Service.
