Deanna Followell

March 31, 1965 - September 7, 2021

Deanna Lee (Catterton) Followell, went home to be with her Savior on September 7, 2021.

She was born March 31, 1965 to James E. and Phyllis J. (Beach) Catterton in Vallejo, California.

On November 23, 1985, she married the love of her life and best friend Michael Followell.

Deanna was a graduate of Jennings County High School Class of 1983 and then went on to graduate from Ivy Tech as an LPN in 1993. Within her nursing career, Deanna worked as a nurse at Columbus Regional, St. Vincent Jennings and Brush Creek Elementary School. Deanna attended United Christian Church of Paris Crossing. She loved her family dearly and going swimming with her granddaughters. In her spare time, Deanna enjoyed refurbishing houses.

Deanna is survived by her husband, Michael Followell; children, Amber (Pedro Pichardo) Reynolds and Sean (Shelby Sitterding) Followell; grandchildren, Zoey Reynolds and Brooklyn Reynolds; brothers, Dennis (Anita) Catterton, Donald (Robin) Catterton and Dewayne Catterton; parents, James (Phyllis) Catterton; brother-in-law, Richard (Sonja) Followell; mother-in-law Luwanna Followell.

Deanna was preceded in death by her father-in-law Richard Followell.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 4-8pm at Voss and Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 11am at Voss and Sons Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior.

Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Memorials may be written to United Christian Church in Paris Crossing for their new Fellowship Hall.

Worked with Deanna back in 1990-1992, some where around that. We were both Managers for Bigfoot at that time, now Circle K.My husband and I would go to there house or they would come to ours for good times. Her smile would light up the room. So sorry for the families loss.

Prayers for the family. I met Deanna when she worked in Endoscopy at Columbus Regional Hospital. Infectious laugh and always ready for good times. Deanna allowed us to gather and learn dance steps at her home and was a joy to share time away from work. I will always remember her laugh and that huge smile I never saw her without.

Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Deanna took me under her wing when I was a baby nurse and she was such a pleasure to work with at Jennings! Her laugh was infectious and she always knew how to make a patient feel comfortable. I’m so sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry to hear of her passing! I worked with her at Brush Creek Elementary! I always loved talking to her and hearing her laugh! I saw her not long ago at Crimson Oak! I am so sad to hear this! We had lots of fun times with Deanna and Mike! This breaks my heart for all of you! She was an amazing woman! Rest In Peace!

Deanna was a beautiful person. Always had a big smile on her face and her laugh was contagious. Enjoyed working with Deanna at St. Vincent Jennings.

Having worked with Deanna at Columbus Regional and getting to know her family my heart is broken to find out of her passing. Though we loss touch I still count her as a close friend. My thoughts are with you Mike and family.
