Daniel Howard Colglazier Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mr. Daniel H. Colglazier, 87, of Seymour, passed away February 22, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. Mr. Colglazier was born in Bedford, IN in 1932 to the late George and Eva Hall Colglazier. On February 16, 1957, he married his first wife Sandra Sue Miller, who preceded him in death. He then married Alicia McCashland on January 2, 1995. He is the cofounder of Dan's Cycle Sales, Inc. in Seymour. He served in the United States Army in the Korean War from 1953-1955. Dan retired from the Pennsylvania & Conrail Railroad on August 4, 1995 after 39 years of service. Mr. Colglazier enjoyed his hot rod cars, especially driving his Model-T in all the parades. He enjoyed being a part of Cars and Guitars, Inc. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family at The Fort. Mr. Colglazier was a fraternal member of Elks and Masons. He was on the Seymour Housing Authority Board, past President of the Airport Board, and was a Precinct Committeeman of the Jackson County Democratic Party. He is survived by his wife, Alicia; daughters, Tammy (Kevin) Riordan, Jody (Jay) Deckard, Anita Rich; son, Gary (Carol) Colglazier, Jeff Lemmon; grandchildren, Justin Colglazier, Rebekah Calhoun, Haley Riordan, Kyle Riordan, Dusty Deckard, Deah Thomas, Brandy Wethington; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Lee Colglazier; sister, Janet Hewlett. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sandra Sue; brothers, Norman Colglazier, James Colglazier; sister, Uzahne Westneat. Services will be handled by Voss & Sons Funeral Service with a celebration of life service at Voss Chapel on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at 10:30am. Family and friends may call at Voss Chapel on Tuesday, February 25, from 4-8pm and again on Wednesday, February 26 from 9:30am until time of service. A Masonic service will be conducted on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. by FA&M Lodge #146. Burial will follow at Riverview cemetery with full military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean and Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour.
