Barbara S. (Dalzell) Ahlbrand, 84, of Commiskey, passed away Friday October 8, 2021 at her home.

She was born in New Castle, IN, in 1937 to the late Russell Dalzell and Margaret Morford Dalzell. On November 30, 1956 she married Jerry Max Ahlbrand.

Barbara retired from the Deco Corporation in Columbus after 27 years of service as an office manager.

Barbara is survived by daughters Lou Anne DeBruicker, Sherry (Kevin) Hughes; sons Tony C. (Mary) Ahlbrand, Walter “Skinner” (Sheila) Ahlbrand; sister Cotta (Harold) Titus; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother Forrest L. Dalzell, and sisters Judy Dalzell-Fox Cotta Titus.

Visitation will be held at Voss Chapel on Tuesday October 12, 2021 from 5-8 pm and on Wednesday October 13, 2021 from 10 am till time of the service.

Services will be held at Voss Chapel on Wednesday October 13, 2021 at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Family request memorial be written to Tea Creek Baptist Church Missionary Fund and Shop with a Cop through Voss Funeral Service.

Mask are encouraged to be worn while in the funeral home.

All arrangements have been entrusted to Voss & Sons Funeral Service in Seymour.
