Ute Richcreek

January 7, 1936 - April 27, 2018

Ute Richcreek, 82, of Seymour, after a lengthy battle with debilitating health issues, Ute’s journey through a many storied life came to her welcoming end on April 27, 2018.
Ute was born on January 7, 1936 in the ancient picturesque city of Ulm on the Danube, Germany. In 1958 in Ulm, Germany Ute married her loving husband of 60 years, John Richcreek.
She is survived by her husband; loving daughter Karen Richcreek of Sagamore Beach, Massachusetts; sister, Elke Koenig and family of Norden, Germany; and other widespread family members and many dear friends of Seymour.
The family would like to thank Seymour Fire Department and staff at Schneck Medical Center for their caring and priceless assistance during Ute’s final moments.
Arrangements are entrusted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service.

I’m so sad to read Ute’s passing just today. My memories of Ute are if her being so kind to all us girls when Karen had sleepovers during our high school years in the 70’s. I know now how patient she was with all our giggles and crazyness. She was the First Lady to fry us french fries late at night. She salted and peppered them while she fried them in the pan. To this day when I have fries I always season them just the way she showed us. Thanks Ute! Karen and Mr Richcreek, you have my sincere sympathy. Traci Freeman
