Paul Helton, Jr., 72, of Seymour, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour. He was born in Scott County, Indiana, on September 24, 1946, the son of the late Martha (Little) Helton and Paul Helton, Sr.
On June 29, 1968, he married Theresa Brock of Seymour.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father as well as his brothers Ronnie and Don Helton.
He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Theresa, their son Michael and his wife Laura, his sister Thelma Billings, brother Rob Helton and wife Bev, 4 grand children and 7 great grandchildren, numerous other family members and friends, including life long friend Steve Franklin.
Throughout his life he retained childlike wonder of all things mechanical, notably RC aircraft, model trains, Cushman scooters and much more. He was a founding member of the Southern Indiana Flying Eagles, a member of the Southern Indiana Model Railroad Association, 3rd Member Car Club, and Moose Lodge.
He was a machinist, working many places including the Golden Foundry in Columbus.
Family and friends may come and visit at Voss and Sons Funeral Service on Thursday, January 10th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Memorials may be given in memory of Paul to the Southern Indiana Model Railroad Club or Moose Lodge for Moose Heart Fund, through Voss and Sons Funeral Service.
Cremation will be following the visitation per Paul’s request through Voss and Sons Crematory, of Seymour
