Ruth Elsner

Mrs. Ruth Elsner, 85 , of Seymour, IN, passed away 0ctober 11th, 2008 at the Lutheran Community Home in Seymour

Mrs. Elsner was born in Seymour, on September 9, 1923, the daughter of Jacob A. and Berta June (Meyer) Brackemyre.

On October 30, 1950, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Jennings County, she married Ambrose Elsner. He passed away May 10, 1992.

Ruth was a member of Saint Ambrose Catholic Church. She graduated from Bethesda Hospital School of Nursing in Cincinnati, OH, and worked as a registered nurse at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour, until her retirement in 1985. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, quilting, and Bible study.

She is survived by her daughter; Lisa (Dennis) Runge; sons; Timothy (Sandy) Elsner, Thomas Elsner, Pete (Kelley) Elsner; six grandchildren; Mike and Christina Runge, Samantha, Andy, Daniel and Samuel Elsner, and dozens of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her parents; husband; daughter; Susan Marie Warinner; brothers; Keith Brackemyre, H. Paul Brackemyre, J. Allen Brackemyre, George Brackemyre, Wilford Brackemyre; sisters; Grace Imlay, Wilma Davis, Harriet Miller, and Elizabeth Traylor.

Funeral service will be at Voss Chapel on Wednesday at 10:00 am with Father Todd Goodson officiating. Friend may call at Voss Chapel on Tuesday from 4-8pm and on Wednesday after 9 am till service time.

Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour.
