Mrs. R. Berniece Brackemyre, 88, of Seymour, passed away November 6, 2008 at 11:42 PM at Lutheran Community Home.

Mrs. Brackemyre was born in Sellersburg, IN, on February 17, 1920, the daughter of Norval and Myrtle (McCammon) Creamer. On November 11, 1937, in Seymour, she married Wilford M. Brackemyre. He preceded on July 13, 2005.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Seymour and ESA. She retired from the Indiana State Highway Department where she worked as an auditor. She was a member of Sagamore of the Wabash. She was very active in the Republican Party as she served as vice chairman for 8 years and held several officer positions with the March of Dimes, where she was President for several years.

She is survived by children; Richard 'Dick' Allen (Marjorie) Brackemyre, Daniel Joe (Jayne) Brackemyre, grandchildren, Lori Ann (Dan) Heiwig, Bryan Robert Brackemyre, Robert Allen Brackemyre, Debra Lynne Brackemyre, a great-granddaughter, Taylor Dawn Brackemyre, and a sister: Norma Armstrong

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son: Robert Nelson Brackemyre, two brothers: C. Gordon Creamer and L. Nelson Creamer and one sister: Wilma Davenport.

Services will be held at Voss Chapel on Monday, Nov 10th at 10:30 am with Rev. Roger Hilbert and
Rev. Mike Seany officiating.

Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.

Friends may call from Voss Chapel on Sunday, Nov. 9th from 1 to 5 pm and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
