Mrs. Martha "Mary" Smith, 82, of Seymour, IN, passed away October 18, 2008 at 6:15 am in Franklin, IN. at The Meadows Health Care Campus.

Mrs. Smith was born in Scottsburg, IN, on May 17, 1926, the daughter of Walter and Stella (Conry) McQuilling.

On September 2, 1990, in Seymour, she married Joseph E. Smith, who survives.

Mary was a member of Uniontown Baptist. She had been a restaurant employee.

Besides her husband, she is survived by; six step daughters; Nellie MacWilson, Macy June Hilton, Geneva Watson, Josephine Jackson, Pauline Hicks, Nancy Howard; three step sons; Jerry Wayne Smith, John Edward Smith, Steve Weddle; and a sister, Bertha Marion.

She was preceded in death her first husband, Victor Weddle, 2 daughters Peggy McNulty and Janice McNulty; 1 step daughter, Ella Mae Day, brother; Willie McQuilling, sisters; Mae Beavers, Naomi McClellen, Juanita Broady, Mildred Rutherford.

Funeral services will be held at Voss Chapel on Wednesday at 1:00 pm with
Rev. Roger Smith officiating.

Burial will be at Uniontown Cemetery with a Voss Dove Release.

Friends may call at Voss Chapel on Tuesday 4-8 pm and on Wednesday one hour prior to service time.
