Glen Behrman

Glen L. Behrman, 86, of Columbus, passed away at his residence on October 20, 2008.

Mr. Behrman was born in Bartholomew County, on November 19, 1921 the son of Walter and Ethel (Huntsman) Behrman.

He was serving in the US Navy during WWII, when on April 27, 1942, in Norfolk VA, he married Mildred (Horman) Behrman, who survives.

Glen was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where he was a former Elder. He retired from Reliance Electric in 1983, which was formerly Reeves Pulley in Columbus. He had a great faith in Christ. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed fishing.

Besides his wife, Mildred, he is survived by his children; Jim (Linda) Behrman, Dale (Wilma) Behrman, Lou Ann (Dan) Hoevener, Linda (Everett) Newkirk, Lori (David) Koeberlein, grandchildren; Jamie (Charity) Behrman, Tim (Christy) Hoevener, Jon (Tammy) Behrman, Barrett Newkirk, Chuck (Kirstie) Newkirk, Mike Hoevener, Matt Koeberlein, Ed Koeberlein, Angie (Jeff) Otte, Sara Newkirk, Beth Koeberlein, great grandchildren; Jessica Hoevener, Abigail Hoevener, Kourtney Otte, Katherine Otte, Harlan Behrman, Oscar Behrman, Harrison Behrman, sisters; Evelyn (Ray) Otte, JoAnn (Wayne) Scheidt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, brothers; Norman Behrman, Elmer Behrman, Eugene Behrman, and great granddaughter; Erika Otte.

Services will be at St. John's Lutheran Church, Thursday, October 23, 2008, at 10:30 AM, with Rev. Joshua Cook officiating.

Burial will be at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, White Creek.

Friends may call at Voss Chapel, Seymour, on Wednesday, from 4:00-8:00 PM and at the church on Thursday, from 9:30 AM until time of service.

Memorials may be written to the St. John's Beautification Committee, St. John's Lutheran School or Donor's Choice.
