Alice Christina Kilpatrick

Mrs. Alice Christina Kilpatrick, 73, of Seymour, IN, passed away at 7:20 AM, Sunday, October 12, 2008.

Mrs. Kilpatrick was born in Iron Mountain, MI, on December 13, 1934, the daughter of John and Mary (Trzeciak) Gramelspacher.

On July 25, 1953, in Monticello, IN, she married William C. "Bill" Kilpatrick. He preceded her in death on February 29, 2008.

Alice was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and was secretary and bookkeeper for the various family businesses. Beginning in 1989, Alice worked as an optician. She was employed in that capacity at Wal Mart Vision Center in Seymour until her retirement in 2006. Alice's hobbies included cooking, gardening, crafts and enjoying nature.

She is survived by her daughters; Debra Kilpatrick, Donna (Don) Jones, Janet (Ron) Stapleton, her son; Dr. Michael (Ingrid) Kilpatrick, 6 grandchildren, brother; John (Beulah) Gramelspacher, sisters; Carmelita Elmer, Catherine (Gene) Riehle, Cecilia May (Bud) Kleeman.

Besides her husband she is preceded by her parents, brothers Frank and David Gramelspacher, and sister; Rose Marie Gerhard.

Services will be held at First United Methodist Church on Thursday, October 16, at 10:30 AM with Rev. Steve Cherry officiating.

Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour, with a Voss Dove Tribute.

Friends may call at Voss Chapel on Wednesday from 4:00-8:00 PM, and at the church on Thursday from 9:30 AM until time of service.
