Mr. John Gordon Trapp, 77, of Seymour, passed away at 11:40 PM, Tuesday, December 29th, 2009 at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour, IN.
John was born in Seymour, IN on January 15, 1932, the son of the late James and Mary (Jaynes) Trapp. He was a member of Glenlawn Apostolic Pentecostal Church. John had worked at Talon Industries, as a janitor, in Freeman Field for more than 20 years before he retired.
John is also survived by; two sisters, Joan (Robert) Brock, Sally Helmbrecht and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Thomas Trapp
Funeral service for John will be held at Glenlawn Apostolic Pentecostal Church on Friday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Homer Roberts officiating.
Family and friends may call at Voss Chapel onThursday from 4 to 7pm and at the church on Friday after 12:30 p.m. until time of service.
Burial will follow at the Chestnut Ridge Cemetery .
Family ask that memorials be given to the Glenlawn Apostolic Pentecostal Church or Chestnut Ridge Cemetery Association through the Voss Funeral Service, 316 N. Chestnut St., Seymour.
