Mr. Gary Lee Hukill, 58, of Seymour, passed away at 5:16 PM, Monday, January 18th, 2010 at Schneck Medical Center

Gary was born in Seymour on May 21, 1951, the son of the late Patricia Ann (Cassidy) VonDielingen and Marlin "Bud" Hukill, who survives.

Gary owned Hukill Signs and Stuff for 17 years and was into graphic design.  He was manager at the Seymour Waste and Water Treatment Plant for 10 years.  Gary was a 1969 graduate of Seymour High School and attended Valparaiso University.  He was a member of the National ASA Men's Industrial Slow Pitch 1980 Team.  Gary was an avid fan of all sports with softball being his favorite.  He was a lover of animals, especially dogs, as he owned three.  Gary loved life and was a real people person.

Besides his father, Gary is survived by his sister, Vicki (Robert) Sommer; his brother, William "Bill" Hukill; step father, Leo E. VonDielingen; nephews, Ryan Robbins, William Robbins; nieces, Angie Hamilton, Krista Foster, and 7 great nieces and nephews.
 
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia, on December 20, 2007, and 1 nephew, Robby Sommer.

Funeral services will be held at Voss Chapel on Saturday, January 23, at 10:30 AM with the Rev. Jimmy Rodriguez officiating.

Burial will take place at Vernon Cemetery, Vernon, Indiana.

Friends may call at Voss Chapel on Friday from 4:00-8:00 PM and from 9:30 AM until time of service on Saturday.

Memorials may be written to the Jackson County Humane Society or the Donors Choice.
