Mr. Donald R. Cole, 80, of Seymour, passed away at 10:38 AM, Wednesday, January 20th, 2010 at Schneck Medical Center. Donald was born in Surprise, IN on November 5, 1929, the son of the late Ralph Harrison and Stella Katherine (Simmons) Cole.

On  August 3, 1951 in Seymour, he married Lavonne Emilyn (Stanfield) Cole. He served in the U.S. Army as a Cpl in the Korean War. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was very active as he served on the Deacon Board and Food and Fellowship Committee.  He retired as a iron board inspector at Lear Seigler (now Seymour Houseware)  after  43 yrs. He enjoyed his work as he had perfect attendance for all 43 years.

Don is survived by his wife, daughter, Debra Jane (Timothy W.) Freshour, son, Michael Ray (Jackie) Cole, grandchildren; Tracey Michelle Cole Brennen (Ed), Haley Renee Freshour, Jacob Cole Freshour, great grandchildren; Emmalynne Marie Neal, and Alexia Rae Rieckers. Several Nieces and nephews survive.
 
He is preceded in death by his parents, Brothers; John Harrison Cole, Virgal Cole, Ronald Eugene Cole, Paul Robert Cole, sister; Virginia Trotter

Funeral Service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, Seymour, IN, at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 25th,  with Rev. David Schrock  and Rev. Jim Downey officiating.

Friends and family may call at Voss Chapel on Sunday, Jan. 23rd,  4 to 8 p.m. and Monday Jan. 25, after 9:30 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church. 

Interment at Riverview Cemetery with a Voss Dove release

Full military graveside rites will be conducted by the VFW, American Legion, DAV, Korean and Vietnam Veterans all of Seymour.
