Carol Joy Hall Taylor, 80, formerly of North Vernon, passed away at 2:00am, Sunday, October 25, 2009.  She was a current resident of the Waters of Seymour since May of 2007.
Carol was born February 26, 1929 at home in Jackson County to the late Florence May Howard and Charles Evan Hall.  She had a twin brother Merril Roy, who only survived a few days.

Carol graduated from Shields High School in 1948 and worked at Excel Shirt factory in Seymour after graduation.  Mrs. Taylor is a member of Hayden Baptist Church.

She married John Everett Taylor, December 13, 1949 and he passed away May 3, 1997.  After marrying John, she became a full time homemaker, prior to the birth of her three children.  One daughter, Carolyn (David) Winship, and two sons, John (Patty) Taylor and Everett Junior (Dalene) Taylor, eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. 
Carol is also survived by one brother, Stanley (Rita) Hall and one sister, Goldie (Ray) Jones and her husband's two sisters, Pauline Stanfield and Lucinda Jane Crist.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, twin brother and a brother James Howard Hall.


Funeral service will be held at 11:00am, October 28, 2009 at Voss Funeral Service.

Friends may call 4:00pm to 8:00pm, Tuesday, October 27 and from 10:00am until service at Voss Chapel.

Burial will be at Hayden Cemetery, Hayden, In with a Voss Dove release..

Memorial checks may be written to Hospice of Jennings County.
